Overview

This programme is to prepare students to work with the elderly and vulnerable. They learn about the sorts of challenges the patients cope with, train on practical skills for supporting them, and what they need to know about the responsibilities of the caregiver and regulations governing this fast growing sector. Students are also taken through theoretical, skills and clinical sessions while assessments are conducted to ensure quality.

Our Healthcare Support Worker course is a qualification that will give you the knowledge, techniques and confidence to care for patients with a range of conditions. You will learn how to care for people with a range of conditions, including dementia, Alzheimer’s and disability. Our teaching and learning resources will give you the tools you need to ensure that patients get the support they need.

At the completion of this course, you will demonstrate good health and welfare skills and will be an ideal candidate for this role, as it requires the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans in order to provide high-quality services and promote patient safety.

This programme is recognised worldwide and usable for international job applications.

Requirements

  1. Minimum of Junior Secondary School Certificate (JSS3 Cert).
  2. Candidate must be fluent in one major native language in Nigeria and must have a basic knowledge or understanding of English Language.
  3. Police clearance report and/or Undertaking of good behaviour & active participation
  4. Guarantor’s letter (Obtain format from the school).
